The Fachhochschule des BFI Wien has recently announced the relaunch of www.retrans.at. The well‑established Austrian knowledge platform now appears in a fresh, modern design — enriched with new content, digital innovations, and a learning experience that feels both contemporary and inspiring.

Behind this milestone stand two strong partners: the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna and the Logistikum of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. Together, they have created a platform that not only conveys knowledge but sparks curiosity and enthusiasm for logistics, value chains, and global supply systems.

Logistics is the backbone of our economy — yet it often remains invisible or underestimated. At the same time, sustainability, digitalisation, and global interdependence are reshaping the sector at breathtaking speed.

RETrans steps in precisely here: the platform makes complex systems understandable, relatable, and engaging. It supports teachers, young learners, and self‑directed students with materials that show how logistics works, why it matters, and what opportunities it offers. And it does so with a clarity and playfulness that traditional textbooks rarely achieve.

The redesigned website impresses with a wide range of learning tools that are both pedagogically sound and technologically up to date:

  • Interactive learning modules: Engaging, hands‑on content that makes even complex topics accessible.
  • Videos & gamified elements: Dynamic visuals, quizzes, and playful tasks that boost motivation and deepen understanding.
  • Practice‑oriented case studies: Real‑world logistics scenarios that bring theory to life.
  • Flexible materials for all education levels: From compulsory school to university: RETrans adapts to different ages, needs, and learning styles.
  • Clearly explained fundamentals: Global trade and supply systems are presented in a structured, easy‑to‑grasp way.
  • Sustainability & Digitalisation as guiding principles: Both the content and the design reflect the key transformation drivers of the logistics sector.

The initiative is funded by the Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure and implemented within the Logistics Funding Program by the SCHIG mbH. It is a strong example of how public investment in education can create tangible, long‑lasting value.

With the relaunch of RETrans, a learning space emerges where education becomes engaging, logistics become tangible, and young people discover new professional horizons.

For anyone committed to education, economic development, and future‑oriented learning, this platform is a gift. For the next generation of logistics professionals, it is a launchpad.
