Vienna Airport just shared some exciting news—ANA is resuming its direct Tokyo–Vienna flights.
Japan’s largest airline, ANA, is bringing back direct flights from Tokyo to Vienna starting August 2, 2024. Honestly, it feels like such a positive step for travel and business between Austria and Japan.
According to the airport’s website, Julian Jäger, the Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport, expressed genuine enthusiasm about this renewed partnership, particularly emphasising the importance of the Far East market.
ANA will be flying three times a week—Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. I love how convenient the schedule is. The Dreamliner leaves Tokyo at 10:45 p.m., so you can fall asleep and wake up in Vienna at 6:20 a.m. The return flight is just as thoughtful, departing Vienna at 11:25 a.m. and landing in Tokyo at 6:55 a.m. The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is known for its comfort, and with Business, Premium Economy, and Economy options, it really feels like they’ve thought of everyone’s needs.
When I read that ANA celebrated its 70th anniversary back in 2022, I couldn’t help but think about how rare it is for an airline to stay so consistently excellent for so long. ANA isn’t just Japan’s largest airline; it’s a symbol of excellence in the aviation industry. They’re also deeply committed to sustainability.
The recognition speaks for itself: In 2023, ANA stood out as one of the very few airlines worldwide to once again earn Skytrax’s highest honour—the coveted 5-Star Airline Rating—for the eleventh consecutive year. On top of that, Skytrax ranked ANA as the third-best airline in the world.
